Ad Ad disclosure: We have been given a family ticket & some Lego goodies for the purpose of this post.
As huge LEGO® fans, we jumped at the offer of tickets for BRICKLIVE, the largest LEGO® event in the UK. We’ve been to a few of their events at the NEC in the past, and always really enjoy the chance to do some building, see amazing LEGO® models, and generally surround ourselves with all things LEGO®.
This year, the event is targeting itself more at children than ever, in partnership with Nick Jr. The Features page is jam packed with activities and things to see and do for kids of all ages, with everything from a gaming zone to a soft play zone. And of course, there are the brick pits – huge pits full of LEGO® bricks where you can sit and build whatever you can dream up.

Some of the new areas sound really fun; a marble run zone called Marble Hills, ‘blast to victory’ in the Space Quest zone, a Ninja training area, and more.
One of our favourite things about BRICKLIVE is seeing the amazing (& huge!) LEGO® models on display from the master builders at Bright Bricks. This year they are hosting the Ocean tour and will have Paw Patrol models on tour too! Lydia is going to love the big pup models.

BRICKLIVE is on at the NEC Birmingham from 31st October to 3rd November, and you can buy tickets on their website. This year they have switched to having separate morning and afternoon sessions following feedback from parents.
The girls are really looking forward to going – it’s bound to be a highlight of their half term holiday. With a great variety of retailers at the show, they’ll be going armed with spending money, no doubt – and so will James and myself!

In the meantime, they are having fun building with the goodies we’ve been sent, in anticipation. Keep an eye on our social media for their creations!
