As part of our twitter party, we are challenging the children to make their own Inside Out jigsaw puzzles. To join in the fun, you need to have a picture printed onto some card, some felt pens/crayons, a ruler, a pen, and a pair of scissors. It’s also handy to have a small bag to keep the pieces safe in.
We were provided with little Inside Out pictures to colour in, printed on A6 card already. You can download the same picture, and a few others, here.
Step 1: Colour in your picture. You can be as neat or as messy as you like – and make the colours as wacky as you want too!
Step 2: Use your ruler and pen to draw straight lines criss crossed over your masterpiece. Try not to make any of the pieces too small, or too big. Try to keep in mind how difficult you want it to be and aim for that number of pieces.
Step 3: Cut along all the lines until you have your pieces.
Step 4: Put it together and see how it looks!
You can pop all the pieces in to a small bag for safekeeping, so you can enjoy your jigsaw over & over again.
Alternatively, if you want a “proper” jigsaw with a photo of your choice on, you can always buy a my Ravensburger Fotopuzzle.
