Georgie and Lydia may have been late to the JoJo bow trend but once they were on board, they got on board! Both of them got mini JoJo bows in their Christmas stockings, and they love them. When I saw this JoJo bow maker I knew they would really enjoy the chance to make their own.
This eZee Beads 3D Mini Scenes kit from John Adams is great fun and perfect for kids around Georgie’s age (6) to do independently. Unlike some other brands, there is no heat involved in sticking these beads together; instead you simply spray them with water and leave to dry, so it is a lot safer for the little ones (not to mention the big ones too – I’ve caught myself on my iron more than once!).
Georgie and Lydia really enjoy crafting so they were thrilled to be sent some John Adams crafting kits, this Pixelo Neon set among them. This set lets your children try out pointillist style artwork with the help of the electronic pen tool.
We were set a challenge to create something from the packaging of our LEGO Star Wars advent calendar, and the girls had a great time cutting, colouring, and sticking to create some fab masterpieces!
Lydia absolutely adores soft toys so when we were sent this Build A Bear Stuffing Station to review she was very happy – being able to stuff her own bears was really exciting!
Georgie and Lydia both love having trinket pots and boxes to stash away their favourite things, and this Mosaics My Pretty Jewellery Box from Craft Time is right up their street, especially as they can decorate it themselves with the included glittery foam tiles.
MX Wholesale sent us some Jaguartia corrugated rainbow paper sheets and strips to get crafty, and one rainy day last week Georgie and I finally got a Lydia-free hour of time to play about with it – and had a lot of slightly sticky fun!
The girls and I have been having fun with our latest box from Baker Ross – which was full of Christmas craft projects for us to do together. We had Georgie’s school friend Lily over after school one day, and the three girls got to work creating Snowflake Magic Wand Kits (£3.49 for a pack of 4), Penguin Gift Bag Kits (currently on sale at £1.99 for a pack of 4), and some fun Snowman Mosaic Coaster Kits (£3.60 for a pack of 6).
We were sent a big box of craft materials at the end of the Summer to have fun with, and with Halloween rapidly approaching, we have been enjoying some Halloween craft projects – and a bit of bonfire night firework fun too!
Today is the Autumn Equinox, and as such marks the first “official” day of Autumn 2015. The leaves are beginning to fall, the days are getting cooler, and we’ve been getting rained upon on a regular basis all month. Baker Ross sent us a couple of Autumn crafts to try out, and so Georgie, Lydia and I have been having lots of fun.
