Getting crafty with LEGO advent calendar packaging

We were set a challenge to create something from the packaging of our LEGO Star Wars advent calendar, and the girls had a great time cutting, colouring, and sticking to create some fab masterpieces!

LEGO are aiming to become a completely sustainable company by 2030, and as part of that pledge they are addressing the packaging they use. This year, their advent calendars use 100% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper packaging instead of non-recyclable plastic, and they have some great ideas on how to reuse your packaging when advent is over!

Georgie, Lydia, James and I had a lovely afternoon sitting and crafting together and made all sorts of weird and wonderful creations from our tray. Georgie made a giant, a unicorn and a penguin, while Lydia made a fairy queen, a princess and an alien. The snowman is my creation, along with a special Santa hat for our dog Homily and Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

I reckon they would also make great seed pots if you have any budding gardeners in the house.
