Over two and a half years ago I reviewed the 3 in 1 Mini Micro Scooter, along with an adult scooter – giving them a raving review with 5 stars. I thought it was about time to revisit the subject, and give you an update on the scooter’s lasting power – because Georgie absolutely adores it still!
Georgie was 2 and a half when we first got the scooter, so she used it for a while with the o-ball handle, before switching to the regular Mini Micro handle. She’s been using it as a normal Mini Micro Scooter for around two years now, and absolutely loves it. She finds it easy to steer and has mastered using the brake… although she still brakes with her feet sometimes too – scuffed shoe alert!
We only live a few minutes walk from school, but I get in trouble if I don’t bring her scooter with me on the school run for Georgie to scoot home! It comes with us to the park, too.
We’ve also bought Lydia her own purple scooter now; although she isn’t very confident on it yet she does enjoy it and you can tell she is wishing for the day that she can keep up with her big sister! The scoot ‘n’ pull is a great accessory we have for Lydia which I am hoping she will let me use on her preschool run – she is a bit funny about it at the moment for some reason, telling me off and saying she can do it on her own… our independent, stubborn miss. We used one with Georgie’s scooter for a while too, and it was great.
When we went to Felixstowe at Easter the scooters were perfect for going along the long sea front paths. They hardly take up any space in the car boot so they are easy to chuck in with our luggage when we go away.
Georgie is still quite tall for her age, but I should think the Mini Micro Scooter will be suitable until the end of this year, at least. That will be three years use of our 3 in 1 set – with Lydia having had the advantage of the o-ball handle when she first had her scooter, too. I think you definitely get your money’s worth with them!
We will certainly be getting a Maxi Micro Scooter when it’s time for Georgie to move onto a bigger one.
I love the micro scooters but they are pricey and so our daughter has a little pink one from tesco. I want to get her a pro scooter though like my sons as they are so easy to glide.
