Yesterday we had a lovely afternoon at my Mother-in-Law’s house… new puppies to see and cuddle, and some relatives popping by that hadn’t met Lydia before. Our family is spread out all over the place so it takes quite a while for all our relatives to meet our babies.
Georgie really loved the puppies – we’ve been talking to her about them since they arrived and she was excited to hear that we were going to see them! They are too small for her to cuddle them yet, but she really enjoyed stroking them while Ruth or I held them for her to see. She spent quite a bit of time peering over the edge of their pen watching them, and I wouldn’t have put it past her from trying to join them in there if we’d given her half a chance & left her in the room alone with them!
As for our laid back Lydia, she was passed from person to person for lots of cuddles and then proceeded to eat most of a giant box of raisins, along with about a third of a banana. Impressive snacking for someone who has only been eating for a month.
After the puppy & relatives cuddling sessions were finished, Georgie had a whale of a time running about the garden with the dogs and having a bit of Granny-time. A spot of hide-and-seek, her current favourite game, had her crawling in & out of an old plastic dog kennel at one point!
We’ll be heading over to Ruth’s house quite a few times in the next few months I should imagine, for plenty of puppy cuddles. I’ll keep you updated, I know from previous experience that they go through an incredibly cute & playful phase and I can’t wait to see Georgie with them.

Aww sounds like a lovely day! Fab photos! The puppies are so cute x
