Review: We were sent this toy a few months ago for Lydia to review and since she was about six months she has been absolutely loving it. The wooden texture is really smooth to hold, the colours bright & attractive, and the small ring makes it rattle a little when it is shaken.

Lydia is always drawn to this toy and it’s not hard to see why. It has a semi circle of smooth & tactile natural beech wood with a loop of colourful beads attached to either end. The elastic is threaded through the semi circle to create a sort of twisted figure of eight effect.

This clutch toy is flexible in the hand and feels really sturdy and well made; I have no fears at all of the elasticated cord breaking or coming loose and releasing the beads.

The wooden beads are the perfect size for small hands to hold onto, and this clutch toy is fantastic for developing your child’s fine motor skills. I think it looks really great, and seems to be really high quality. There is nothing quite like a really good wooden toy, and this colour whorl toy is no exception to that rule.

Lydia also loves to give this toy a good chomping – she is definitely teething now and she loves to put anything & everything in her mouth!

I think that this HABA clutch toy would make a perfect stocking filler for any baby around Lydia’s age – it is less than £10 so really reasonably priced for a wooden toy. It would actually fit into a stocking too, a criteria that seems to be largely ignored by many shops who claim various items to be stocking fillers!

We give this clutch toy a rating of 5 stars & would definitely recommend it. This is our first encounter with the HABA brand, and we are impressed!
