Review: Bigjigs Toys Young Chef’s Baking Set (#BJ605)

Georgie loves to bake with me so when we were sent this baking set to review she was over the moon. The Bigjigs Toys Young Chef’s Baking Set includes child size versions of almost everything you need to bake cakes or biscuits, including a tiny oven glove which is utterly adorable.

Review: Fisher-Price Minnie’s Polka Dot House

We received this house to review just before Christmas and it has been a huge hit with both our girls, and Georgie’s best friend has enjoyed playing with it too.

First impressions were good; the parts of the house were easy to snap together, with easy to follow instructions and a handful of stickers to put on the house and furniture. There are furnishings for a living area, kitchen/diner, bathroom and bedroom, plus a few bits for Minnie’s cat too. The oven and fridge both have opening doors.

Review: Hotter Pixie Boots

I was given these Hotter boots at the recent Hotter event I attended at the Solihull store. I have been testing them very thoroughly ever since… other than a few outings in my wellies I haven’t worn any other shoes since having my Hotter moment with these boots!

Review: Lindam Funpack Harness

We took the Lindam Funpack Harness with us on holiday to Cornwall and found it so useful for Lydia. This product is basically a small toddler-sized backpack to which you can attach a rein, preventing your child from walking too far from you.

The backpack is the perfect size for Lydia; at 18 months she is a very confident walker & climber and is displaying a fair amount of independence, wanting to walk with us but not always hanging onto our hand. This backpack allows her to walk on her own, but stops her from running off.

Review: Hotel Chocolat Egg & Chips

When Hotel Chocolat contacted me to see if I would like to review an item from their Easter range, I was immediately drawn to these Egg & Chips – how cool are these?! Just SO much fun!

The Egg & Chips came well packaged wrapped in tissue paper, inside a beautiful gift bag. The gift card is really attractive with your gift message printed inside.

Review: Ravensburger “The Secretary” jigsaw puzzle

I really enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles, and being offered this lovely 500 piece Ravensburger puzzle to review was like being handed an excuse to take a few hours for myself and do something to relax.

This puzzle is from the Ravensburger “Happy Days at Work” series, and is entitled “The Secretary”. It measures 49.3 x 36.2cm and depicts a scene in an office, with a secretary busy on the phone while her boss sits at his desk in the background, and the filing girl crouches at the filing cabinet.

Review: ewan snuggly

Last year at the Baby Show I stopped to chat with the lovely Lynda, inventor of our beloved ewan the Dream Sheep. While we were talking, Lynda was kind enough to give Lydia her very own ewan snuggly. This little ewan was an instant success, with Lydia cuddling it to herself straight away when I unpacked it at home.

Review: Smart Trike 4-in-1 Dream

Smart Trike 4-in-1 Dream

We have been invited to take part in the “I’m a little smarTriker” challenge by BumpPR, and were sent a 4-in-1 Dream Smart Trike for Lydia to test out and participate in the challenges. We were already fans of Smart Trikes, as Georgie was given one for her 1st birthday back in 2012, and she has always really enjoyed it… and it’s not hard to see why.

Review: Tuck Me In! by Dean Hacohen & Sherry Scharschmidt (Walker Books)

When this book arrived, both myself and Georgie were both instantly drawn to it. The bright colours, playful illustrations and big flaps provide a huge amount of appeal to a two year old. We have now read it quite a few times – and multiple occasions on one day too, which is a rarity for our little girl, who will usually only read each of her books once per day.
