We were sent this Shimmer & Shine Playset to review, and both Lydia & Georgie have been having a lot of fun with it! They are fans of the Nick Jr show and really love pretending to go on all sorts of genie adventures.… Continue Reading “Review: Shimmer and Shine Teenie Genies Floating Palace Playset”
This light up musical Minnie Mouse toy has been an instant hit with Lydia, who adores Minnie Mouse. It is really rather neat, with different parts of Minnie’s dress & her bow changing colour when touched. The idea is you design Minnie’s outfit by choosing the colours of her bow, top & skirt. … Continue Reading “Review: Fisher-Price Rainbow Dazzle Minnie”
Georgie and Lydia are both Thomas fans, and love to add new playsets to their Take n Play collection. This new Dragon Drop set has been released to celebrate Thomas’s 70th year, and it’s a really fun one. The girls have been enjoying playing with it since it’s arrival, and love all the little details.… Continue Reading “Review: Thomas & Friends Take-n-Play Daring Dragon Drop”
I have to admit when we were offered one of these cute Bing toys to review, I jumped at the chance – Lydia is a huge Bing Bunny fan and this is her first Bing toy of her very own. This Bing Bunny walks and talks, much to both Georgie and Lydia’s delight. His expressive ears wiggle about too, which is a really nice touch.… Continue Reading “Review: Fisher-Price My Friend Bing”
We were sent two Dora and Friends Doggie Day! dolls to review, and they have been an absolute hit with our two girls. We were sent Dora and Kate and the girls each claimed one each to call their own.
Each of the dolls come with a charm that can be used with the charm bracelets you can buy from the same range of toys (read my review of these here). Both charms are puppies from the Doggie Day episode of Dora and Friends, in different bright colours.… Continue Reading “Review: Dora and Friends Doggie Day! Dolls”
We were sent two Dora and Friends charm bracelet toys to try out to celebrate the Nick Jr Sing Along Summer event; the Beach Adventure Dora set, and the Magic Charm Bracelet set.
The Beach Adventure Dora set has a small toy Dora with moveable arms and a hinged waist, and comes with a yellow charm bracelet and three beach themed charms; a beach bag, conch shell, and crab. Dora is in her beach gear – a pretty swimsuit, (non-removable) sunglasses atop her head, and of course a tiny charm bracelet can be spotted on her wrist.… Continue Reading “Review: Dora and Friends Charm Bracelet Toys”
We were sent a batch of Dora and Friends products to review, to celebrate Nick Jr’s Sing Along Summer event, and this phone was one of the items. In the TV show, Dora has a trusty smartphone to help her on her way. This toy lets your child have a phone “just like Dora’s” complete with a lenticular changing screen effect, and a variety of sound effects and phrases.… Continue Reading “Review: Dora and Friends Talk & Play Smartphone”
Fisher-Price offered us this toy to review, knowing that Georgie is a big Thomas fan, and enjoyed the new Tale of the Brave film. We received this house to review just before Christmas and it has been a huge hit with both our girls, and Georgie’s best friend has enjoyed playing with it too.
First impressions were good; the parts of the house were easy to snap together, with easy to follow instructions and a handful of stickers to put on the house and furniture. There are furnishings for a living area, kitchen/diner, bathroom and bedroom, plus a few bits for Minnie’s cat too. The oven and fridge both have opening doors.… Continue Reading “Review: Fisher-Price Minnie’s Polka Dot House”

When we visited The Baby Show recently, Fisher-Price invited us to join them for lunch and to watch a presentation about the Laugh & Learn range, including some new research about learning through play and laughter. The presentation was very interesting and certainly proved that baby laughter is infectious, with an adorable video montage of giggling babies setting the whole room off laughing!… Continue Reading “Learning through Laughter”
