Review: We were sent a batch of Dora and Friends products to review, to celebrate Nick Jr’s Sing Along Summer event, and this phone was one of the items. In the TV show, Dora has a trusty smartphone to help her on her way. This toy lets your child have a phone “just like Dora’s” complete with a lenticular changing screen effect, and a variety of sound effects and phrases.

The phone comes supplied with batteries, and it has a removable cover so that you can replace them when needed.

The “screen” is one large panel that you can press down on, which triggers the phone to light up and play one of the sound effects.

Lydia claimed this phone as hers immediately and won’t actually let Georgie use it at all! She loves to pretend to tap away at the screen, make play phone calls, and pretend to take photos a lot with it. Since we got it, she has played with it every day and carries it around the house with her.

I think £9.99 is a little high for what essentially doesn’t do much, but this toy feels sturdy and I expect it will last well. Fisher-Price toys are always great quality and this is no exception.

4 stars. Lydia absolutely loves it, but it is a tad on the pricey side.
