Review: Little Bird Told Me Birdy Bear Activity Toy

We were sent this toy for Lydia to play with and Georgie decided to help with the testing too! She had a great time demonstrating all of the features for her baby sister, and trying to teach her to squeak the legs!

This soft toy bird is a lot bigger than I expected, with the body measuring around 18cm square and 15cm deep. I know that the measurements are listed on the website but I hadn’t really visualised what that meant. The bird comes in very eco friendly packaging, entirely made out of cardboard – even the string.

I do love a good multifunctional toy, and this Winnie-the-Pooh branded toy is a prime example. Instantly recognisable as Winnie-the-Pooh’s honey pot, this toy is a shape sorter, a stacking toy, a pouring toy – all in one.

We were sent this toy a few months ago for Lydia to review and since she was about six months she has been absolutely loving it. The wooden texture is really smooth to hold, the colours bright & attractive, and the small ring makes it rattle a little when it is shaken.

When Georgie was a baby we bought her a second hand Jumperoo and it was a big hit. So, when we were offered the chance to review this one for Lydia we accepted happily. Despite remembering how much Georgie enjoyed hers, we weren’t prepared for just how much Lydia would enjoy this one!

Lydia was sent this lovely toy to test from The Toadstool, and took to it instantly. Its not hard to see why! The bright colours are tasteful instead of garish, with a variety of shades of the same few colours working well together. The design gives it a great sense of fun and a slight quirkiness.
