I adore jigsaw puzzles and, to be honest, am really quite good at them – people always comment on it if they see me doing one. Dad was having a conversation with Georgie recently and informed her that I am a “Puzzler” which apparently means a “person who is very good at doing jigsaw puzzles!”
I just love to put the pieces together and see a picture forming. I have blogged about my love of jigsaws before and now I am pleased to see that Georgie is beginning to love them also.
Georgie always enjoyed peg puzzles and now she has started to have a lot of fun doing her growing collection of jigsaw puzzles. She was given a set of Peppa Pig puzzles for Christmas, and I have managed to pick up various puzzles for bargain prices here & there too. I was particularly pleased with a set of 10 Ravensburger puzzles I picked up from a charity shop for a few pounds.
Our little girl has picked up the basics quickly, hunting for the corners to use as a starting point, counting straight edges. She loves to commentate on everything she sees and try to match up the colours and shapes, especially faces.
Maybe a love of puzzles is genetic? Could there be another Puzzler in our midst?

I honestly think it is genetic! My Mum is a mad puzzler, I was too until I had Monkey, and now it’s a when I have a spare moment hobby, and Monkey loves them too. He has lots of different ones, and it’s great seeing him move us through the various sizes/pieces as he gets a bit older.
My Mum likes them a little though not as much as me. I love to do them now & again whilst Lydia naps, or if james is entertaining the kids and I need some downtime – so relaxing! Great to hear the next generation are continuing the puzzling! Thanks for commenting 🙂
