Cow & Gate pouches

Review: We were sent some cow & gate fruit pouches for Lydia to try out & they were certainly well received!

We are following a predominantly baby led weaning method for Lydua, but she often has yoghurt or fruit pouches/pots for pudding or snacks.

These new 100% fruit pouches are great for smaller babies – they are a good size for one snack, and for smaller babies you can always reseal them so they can eat them over two days or meals. We didn’t have this problem though, as Georgie was clamouring to finish them off to “help” her little sister out if Lydia couldn’t finish them off!

Pouches like this are great for eating out & about – they are tough enough to be thrown into a changing bag with no worries of spillage, and you don’t need to worry about keeping them cool.

Georgie learnt to eat from pouches like this by herself fairly early on, which is great for independent kids.

In our experience, Cow & Gate tend to be one of the best value brands for fruit pouches, and these are no exception. Whilst still being more expensive than making your own fruit purees they are ideal for heading out & about. Just be careful if there are wasps about, Lydia had to be rescued at the beach last month when a group of them smelled the open pouch she was trying to eat!

Being 100% fruit you don’t have to worry at all about any unwanted extras slipping into your child’s diet. We tried a selection of the flavours and the kids gobbled them up happily!

We give these 4 stars.
