Koo-di Polka Dots Snugsuit

Review: When I arrived at my parents the week before Christmas, I was greeted by a large & very exciting box with a selection of Koo-di and PurFlo products for me to test out as part of my new brand ambassador roles.

First up to test, this adorable Snugsuit from Koo-di’s instantly recognisable Polka Dots range. Available in three sizes up  to your baby’s first birthday, this snowy white suit is super snuggly, with incredibly soft fabrics and adorable non-slip polka dots on the bottom and feet.

The suit has a built in hood and is fully lined with incredibly fluffy faux fur which is so soft against the skin. The suit zips up the side from the bottom of the right leg to mid-way up your baby’s side, and then three buttons across the body secure the top part of the suit.

Lydia is a good sized 10 month old now, and fits happily in her 6-12 month sized suit with room to spare. The arms and legs seem to be a good length, and you can easily roll up the sleeves on younger babies.

Despite the dismal weather we have been able to sneak out of the house a few times, and Lydia has been cosy and warm inside her Snugsuit on each outing. She seemed to be very comfortable and happy in the suit, and it is just completely adorable on her!

The grips on the bottom of the suit, and underneath the feet, mean that Lydie found it easy to both sit up and cruise around the furniture while wearing it. The feet of the suit have a bit of extra polka dot material inside a slit in the thicker suit fabrics, which make it more flexible for walking and standing about in.

We have another snowsuit for Lydia and she finds it difficult to move about it; without this added flexibility and the extra grips she slides around the place and finds it hard to do anything but lie or wriggle about. This certainly seems to be the most practically designed snowsuit I have had for either of the girls as most of them seem to be about warmth and buckets of padding, but ignore the mobility aspect!

The suit is warm but not too thick and super squashy; which means it is great to use in buggies, car seats and baby carriers. I wore Lydia in my new Mei Tai carrier and I didn’t feel that the suit was too thick to baby wear with her in it, as I have in the past with other suits.

My only concern about this Snugsuit is the colour; pure white fabrics and babies aren’t generally a match made in heaven, especially if they are my children and we are outdoors! However, the suit is 100% easy-care polyester and can be chucked into the washing machine at 40°C, so I’m not too worried about that really.

All in all, I think that this Snugsuit is a really fabulous snowsuit. At £32.99 for the size we were sent, it is a comparable price to other brands, but more expensive than the supermarket-own ones you can get. You do get what you pay for, however.

The suit is gender neutral too, so you can use it again for a second baby or hand it down to a relative – I have this one earmarked to go to my brother & sister-in-law who will be having a little boy in the spring. It is nice to have the odd bit of clothing to give to them for the new baby as so many of the girls’ clothes aren’t suitable for boys really.

I give this Koo-di Polka Dots Snugsuit a 5 star rating, and will be quite sad when Lydia eventually grows out of it.

The Snugsuit is currently on sale (at the time of posting), at £21.74 for 0-3 months, £23.24 for 3-6 months, and £24.74 for 6-12 months – so grab a bargain while you can!
