Manufacturer’s Description: The Lalaloopsy™ dolls were once rag dolls who magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn, taking on the personalities of the materials that were used to make them. They live in a colourful, silly world, and it’s your job to keep the magic of their world alive! Jewel Sparkles™ is polishing up her shiniest tiaras, because there’s a princess ball coming to Lalaloopsy Land! Jewel and her friends have sewn their unique style into their magical gowns.
Review: Lydia is really into princesses at the moment, so when we were offered the chance to review a Lalaloopsy Princess doll I said “yes please” – which has made me a very popular Mummy indeed.
This special princess edition Jewel Sparkles doll is quite large, around 10 inches tall. She is pretty solid feeling, with slightly awkward articulated arms, legs & head. The back of the packaging pops out into a little poster which is a fun touch.
Jewel sparkles comes with a little Kitty, and with a removeable fabric skirt & removable shoes. She is wearing a pearly pink tiara with her gorgeous
up-do hair, and has a matching “pearl” necklace moulded onto her torso.
Although very pretty, Jewel sparkles is a bit awkward to play with. Her skirt is fiddly and she isn’t very nice to cuddle. Her arms are particularly awkward to move & position, and her legs can be very floppy.
Lydia really likes this doll, but hasn’t played with it an awful lot. She enjoys putting her shoes off and on and playing with her little kitten.
We give the Lalaloopsy Princess Jewel sparkles doll 3 stars. She is pretty & quite fun, but I do think what you get isn’t worth the price tag.
