Review: We are big fans of the Organix finger food range in this house, which Georgie has been munching her way through for the last few months, and when we discovered there was a new cheesy crackers product coming out in their Goodies range we were definitely interested – Georgiana is really into her food and loves finger food most of all. She isn’t keen on having baby food from jars, or home made purees, so the baby led weaning method really works for us. She is excellent at picking up food, biting, chewing & swallowing so we don’t worry at all about her trying anything and everything at least once!

Initial Inspection

It can be hard to always keep the range of finger food we are offering her at lunchtimes interesting – I hate to give her the same foods over and over as I worry about her becoming too fussy unless she is exposed to a good variety of flavours & textures. One of her favourite foods is cheese (just like her Daddy who is addicted to the stuff!) so finding cheesy snacks that are good for her is great. I really like the Organix range because they have a fab no junk promise, meaning you don’t have to worry about what is in their products – it is all guaranteed to be good stuff.

In they go!

The cheese crackers are only the second thing from their Goodies range that we have tried – I keep one or two of their raisin snack boxes in the changing bag at all times! I was really pleased with the size of the individual snack bag with the crackers, as it is just the perfect size for a good filling snack on the go, and fab for offering Georgie while she waits for any hot food to cool if we are eating out. She hates being in a highchair and waiting for food so it’s always handy to have a snack of some sort ready to keep her going until food arrives!

Can I have some?!

I tasted one or two of the crackers myself (before Georgie got her hands on them!) and found them to be very tasty and not at all salty like their adult equivalents. James called them “mini cheddars for babies (without the salt)” which gives you an idea of their flavour, texture and size. All three of us liked the flavour and texture which is a good sign, as some baby foods that I’ve tasted are revolting! I always try to stick to the rule of “if I won’t eat it, she shouldn’t have to” when choosing Georgie’s meals. They are baked instead of fried, which is another tick in the healthy box.

Shovelling them in at high speed!

Georgie really enjoyed them – they certainly disappeared quickly! At one point I’m sure she had three in her mouth and another two in each hand. Definitely a big hit with the monkey.

We are looking forward to sampling more of the Goodies range (having discovered their online store I’m planning to go on a bit of a shopping spree as the range is so much larger than in our local supermarket!) & will definitely be stocking up on some of their snack bags for the changing bag!

4/5 stars for a very tasty & handy to have in the changing bag product!

    1. Thank you! I'm going to stash the other 3 packets away to have with me in the changing bag when we're out and about, so that I can cheer up a grumpy hungry baby on the move 😉
