Product: Union Jack Rosie Doll

Price: £14.50

Age Range: 0+

Manufacturer’s Description: Rosie, the Jubilee princess, is a limited edition doll set to join the Fulanitos family. When she is out on Royal engagements she has red hair and wears her bright and bold Union Jack dress and her tiara, when she is at home entertaining she has softer lilac hair and a pastel Union Jack dress. She’s a modern princess in every sense and will inspire little girls to have fun. Here are just a few of her favourite things:

  • Favourite Food: Afternoon Tea
  • Favourite Animal: Pony
  • Favourite Hobby: Helping people

This charming plush doll has a soft body and is perfect for cuddling. She makes the perfect Jubilee memento but can be played with time and time again as girls make up their own memories long after the Diamond Jubilee has passed by.

Rating: (4/5 stars)

Review: I am really loving all the Jubilee products on the market at the moment and this Rosie doll that we were sent to review is no exception. She is really quite cute looking (at least I think so!) and has a big smile on her face.

Rosie sits up on her own!

Although Rosie is more of a soft toy than a traditional plastic doll, she is remarkably positionable – she can sit up, fold her arms and cross her legs. You can even give her different hairstyles without getting into a big tangle – perfect for young children. I found myself absentmindedly plaiting her hair after Georgie deposited her on my lap and toddled off to find the perfect stone to give to her Daddy.

Cuddles for Rosie!

As you can see from the photo above, Georgie thinks Rosie is great fun and fabulous for cuddles! She has been happily carrying Rosie about the garden this week during the warm weather and keeps giving her big hugs – cuddling toys (and random objects!) is her new thing and Rosie is certainly great for that.

Even though Georgie is too young to understand the concept of the diamond jubilee, I think it is lovely that she has something of her very own that has been made specifically to celebrate the jubilee, so that when she is older she has a memento of the big event.

You can choose between either the bright and bold design which uses the traditional Union Jack colours, or the softer pastel design which is a bit more sweet & girly. Each doll has the option of coming with or without a tiara:

At £14.50 the doll is a little bit expensive for a soft toy, so it’s 4 out of 5 stars for this cute and cuddly doll that has been a big hit with our little girl!
