Review: As soon as I opened the parcel the table & stools were delivered in, Georgie was excited. The colour palette & sweet flowers & butterflies design on the new Patchwork range of furniture is very appealing.

Although I never wanted to have an overwhelming amount of “girly girl” stuff for Georgie & Lydia (hence the jungle themed bedroom), now that we have two girls & are unlikely to have any more kids in the future, there’s no harm in letting a bit of pink in the house!

As the girls room is so small, we needed to have the living room double up as a playroom more than ever in the new house. With this in mind, I wanted some toddler sized furniture that the kids old use, that would look attractive enough to keep out all the time in our family room. The World’s Apart Patchwork collection is perfect for this & it looks very pretty tucked away against the wall.

The table & stools were incredibly easy to put together, so easy in fact that Georgie was helping! All you need to do is remove all the pieces from the box & screw each leg into the plates fixed onto the underside of the table top or stool seat. It’s recommended that you check every now & again that the legs are still screwed in tight; ours haven’t loosened yet at all, despite Georgie rearranging her new furniture a lot.

The stools are the perfect height for my two year old & she loves to sit at her new table to read, craft, play & eat. A friend of ours bought her a typically sized toddler chair for her first Christmas back in 2011 & it is a really nice height for that too.

Another thing worth noting about this furniture is that it is very easy to clean! The laminated surface makes it very wipe-clean & I haven’t had any problems getting the most stubborn things to shift – even scrubbing off solidly set weetabix was a breeze.

The table & stools all feel very solid & are holding up well to all of Georgie’s monkey business. They are light enough for her to pull around whilst still having a decent weight to them, stopping them from sliding away from her too easily.

After Georgie has been put to bed, the table also makes a great laptop stand when I am sitting on the sofa! I have been using it to blog in the evenings.

I think this furniture is great value at less than £40 and it deserves a 5 star rating.
