Shopping Haul at Smiggle

Ad disclosure: We were given a £50 Smiggle voucher for the purpose of this post.

We were invited to go along to our local Smiggle store and do a bit of shopping before Christmas. I love their bright, fun & quirky products so it wasn’t a hardship at all, to take this challenge! Take a look at our video for a look around the Bullring store, see Lydia and I browsing the items on sale, and watch me go through our shopping bag at home.

This is what we bought with our £50:

The first thing we chose was the Lucy Mini Satchel, costing £22.50. It is a beautiful blue and pink satchel with a pretty butterfly print, big enough to carry A5 sized books & notepads, along with snacks and so on. Georgie needs a new bag to carry her bits & pieces for outings and she is going to adore this. The strap is adjustable, and it can be used as a back pack instead.

To go inside the satchel, we picked up a cute blue Sketch Spot Notebook for £5.00, a Yums Rainbow pen for £3.50, and a set of six erasable stacking crayons (the Crayon Stack Pack) for £7.00. Along with the Stencil Super Spirals set which cost just £3.50, this lot makes a great set for writing & drawing while out and about.

For stocking fillers, I picked up two of the Spinning Top Markers for £2.00 each, along with a G shaped Alphabet Pixels Eraser for £1.50, and a Fold Up Flying Saucer for £2.75. These are all really affordable and small enough to go into their stockings. Lydia will just love the bright pink pop-up “flying saucer” frisbee, it is great fun! The spinning tops are fab too; marker pens that draw spiral patterns when you twirl them. 

Our basket of goodies came to £49.75. Quite a lot of very lovely & fabulously fun stuff for less than £50, especially when you consider that it includes a trendy little satchel.

There was a deal on in store where if you paid over £20 you could choose to buy one or more items at half price, so I decided to treat the girls to a few extras to have straight away, as well as a DIY bouncy ball kit to go under the tree to share (full price £7.00, I paid £3.50).

For Georgie, I picked up a Heroes Holographic Scratch Pad so she can scratch away to her hearts content to draw fun pictures. Perfect for taking out with us as you don’t need extra pens; just the scratch tool which is attached to the pad with an elastic loop. This cost me £3.50 as the full price should have been £7.00.

Lydia fell in love in the store with the different lights that Smiggle sell, so when she saw the Mini Swirl Light in store she wanted it so badly. The full price for this light up small glitter lamp is £8.50, so I couldn’t resist Lydia’s pleading looks for £4.25. It lights up when you shake it, which looks great with the swirling glitter. After 90 seconds the light automatically turns off so you don’t have to worry about the batteries running down.

So there we have it: what we bought at Smiggle. A great mixture of colourful & joyful things that I know are going to put big smiles on the faces of my two little girls.
