DisneyLife challenged us to get creative and show our love for Disney, to help them celebrate their DisneyLife monthly subscription service. All four of us are huge Disney fans, and so we have been really excited about having access to so much Disney right at our fingertips.
We decided (in a moment of temporary insanity!) to make a Minnie & Mickey Mouse stop motion animation short. Minnie Mouse is Lydia’s absolute favourite Disney character, so she was an obvious choice!
Using Lydia’s beloved Minnie Mouse duplo and with a storyline decided upon by the whole family, and voiced by the girls (and our talking Minnie Mouse book), this is what we created:
DisneyLife is an app-based service that lets you enjoy Disney movies, tv shows, books, music & more on your iOS or Android devices.
We’ve been using it for a few months now and it seems great so far; you can have different profiles for each family member (something I would love our other TV streaming services to have), browse by character or by type of media, and it is really easy to navigate – the kids have mastered it. You can also watch films & tv episodes using a web browser.
Lydia was so pleased when she discovered how much Minnie & Mickey Mouse stuff she can watch, Georgie finally got to watch Frozen Fever, and we can listen to lots of Disney music too. The girls love to curl up and chill out watching cartoons on their iPad when they are tired out or not feeling well, so this is perfect for this – they have been enjoying Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins.
So, what do you think of our Minnie Mouse short? I think Lydia’s performance of the dog steals the show 😂
