I’ve not long returned home from Camelford, where Georgie and I (and Dad!) went along to cheer for the bloggers’ Team Honk Relay, and watch the all important baton be passed over!
Today is the first day of a 6 week relay, covering nearly 3000 Miles, undertaken by over 150 bloggers. The baton is to travel by train, air, water, pushchair, foot, roller skates, bicycle, and, yes, occasionally by car when absolutely necessary!

The baton started off this morning at Lands End, with Pippa from Story of Mum starting the journey off. They were whisked from Lands End to Newlyn via car, and walked from there to Penzance in mis-matched footwear, where they jumped on a train to Truro. I helped arrange for “last minute hero” Jackie (who has previously guest posted here on my blog) took the baton from Truro to meet Fiona at Fraddon, for the next leg to Camelford.

Fiona (aka Coombe Mill superstar blogger) & some of her family arrived with trailer in tow to hand over the baton to Lara from Trails Of The Unexpected. We watched and waved as the cyclists left Camelford with the baton to travel on two wheels to Bude, where the Caked in Mud runners will then run 15 miles along the coast path to Hartford, before the baton completes it’s journey for the day via four wheels – by being driven to Bideford for hand over to Jenny at Mummy Mishaps, who is taking it to Barnstable, ready for tomorrow’s adventures!

All this is happening in order to raise funds for Sport Relief. We have a huge target to meet so please, please, please help us by sponsoring the Cornish leg of the relay here:

Alternatively, you can donate by text message – to donate £5 simply text HONK to 70005. This costs £5 + your standard network message rate. For Terms & Conditions please see: http://buff.ly/1asPbx0
