Lydia has just lost another tooth, after it being wobbly for what feels like months, and as usual we made a little envelope for her to pop the tooth into so it didn’t go astray in the night.

She sleeps in a pile of pillows, cushions and blankets, and so there are a lot of layers for a tiny tooth to go missing amongst before any fairy could fly in and find it – even one as experienced at treasure hunting as the tooth fairy. Hence, the envelope.

I thought that it would be fun to make a printable for the purpose, so here it is!

With Lydia in mind, the original design I created is mostly in shades of pink & purples, but I also created a version of everything using a blue & green colour scheme.

The download includes a letter with a short poem to the tooth fairy, a blank letter for your child to write their own message, and an envelope template to cut out & glue together. You can then seal it up with more glue or some tape once the tooth is safely stored inside.

In addition, I’ve created a second set – for adult eyes only! Some things should stay a mystery, after all.
