We are a household of geeks, so our gift buying tends to lean towards the nerdier side of things! Both James and I love to gift each other with fun, geeky gifts that we know the other will love. I’ve been browsing the online shops finding some fun gift ideas for our fellow geeks out there.
I actually find that gifts such as these, which really suit James’s character, are more meaningful than generic Valentine’s gifts. They show that I’ve taken the trouble to remember what he enjoys and the time to find something that fits in with that. It’s the same when I am receiving gifts; I love the time turner necklace that he bought me more than if he had just bought me a necklace with a pretty pendant.
10 Valentine’s Gift Ideas for Geeks:
Gamerprint Wall Art – from £12
I discovered Gamerprint at EGX in 2015, and we have a few of their T-shirts. Their range of wall art is fantastic; the artwork is just beautiful and I love the way they have taken themes from different games and turned them into art. I really want some Zelda, Mario and Monkey Island posters – when we get the stairwell plastered it would be brilliant to cover the wall in framed geekiness like these, mixed in with family photos.
LEGO Romantic Valentine Picnic – £8.49
Each year, LEGO bring out a special Valentine’s Day set. Last year it was a puppy, which I happily built in bed and has lived in our room ever since. This year, the set depicts a romantic picnic… considering the weather in February isn’t exactly great for sitting around outdoors this is a great substitute, and is bound to bring a smile to any LEGO fan.
Star Wars Darth Vader Light = £19.99
I recently reviewed a Harry Potter Crest Light from Paladone, and this Star Wars Darth Vader one is very cool. Darth Vader’s mask is detailed with a grid style design, and lit up from underneath with Dark Side red LEDs. You can use either batteries or USB to power it – it’s a great fun gift for any Star Wars fan, and looks great on a shelf or desk.
Brick Yourself – £29.99
This is so fun – you describe your partner, complete with a few hobbies and their typical style, plus choose a few words, and their team create a custom minifig to suit the person. It is then mounted in a frame with your message underneath the little LEGO person. A very cool gift for any LEGO fan.
Oh Flora Valentines Cards – £3.95
These Oh Flora cards are a mix of hilarious, downright rude, and geeky fun. I love the Obi-Wan card, and the “You’re The Yoda One For Me” cracks me up. The illustrations are really cute.
Assassin’s Creed Monopoly – £21.98
This is a nice idea for gamers, for some real world gaming instead – and you can play with each other and, you know, actually talk to one another! There are loads of different Monopoly sets out there these days, but this one might be one of my favourites. Both James and I really enjoy the Assassin’s Creed series so this one would be perfect for us.
LEGO Key Chains – from £3.99
If you are looking for something small and fun, these LEGO key chains are perfect. They have a huge range available, and some even double as an LED torch. I adore the BB-8 one! I have a Wonder Woman LEGO key chain on my handbag.
Amazon Echo Dot – £49.99
We have just got our first Echo Dot and I am in love with it already. We are slowly moving towards having a “smart home” with Hive heating and lighting. We have a smart lightbulb in our bedroom and now we can just ask Alexa to turn it on or off. I also love it for listening to my Audible audiobooks while in bed.
Batman Egg Topper, Egg Cup and Toast Cutter – £6.99
I love this, it’s so cute! At less than a tenner it’s a great budget gift for any (DC!) comic book fan, especially if they are a fan of boiled eggs & toast too, of course.
Star Wars Jedi Dressing Gown – £19.90
I actually bought one of these for James a few years ago and it is still going strong. It’s super warm and cosy, really comfy, and makes you look like a Jedi Knight – bonus! I really must get him a lightsaber sometime to go with it.

Ahh! These are the type of things my fella and I like too….
I didn’t know there was an Assassin’s Creed Monopoly set….That is something to put on my list of things to buy 🙂 x
The lego set is a cute idea!
