Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and the excitement in our house is reaching fever pitch! Having two small children in our house makes Christmas such a magical time, and the girls are incredibly thrilled by everything involved; I am really looking forward to the next week.
For the last few years, we have given the kids a box of goodies on Christmas Eve (our 2013 box & 2014 box) – most of it is stuff we would be buying them anyway, edible treats, new toothbrushes, etc. We just save bits & pieces up and then give them to the girls with a bit of fuss on Christmas Eve. We’ll hand this over whenever James gets home from work, and I’m sure they’ll love it.
Inside their box, the kids are getting…
Bath stuff… a new sponge for Georgie, a “magic” expanding flannel for Lydia, their fave bubble bath and a new toothbrush each.
Usborne sticker books – the girls love these and they will be great for some chill out time before bed on Christmas Eve.
Treats – the annual fruit shoots (the girls only get these on days out and special occasions so they always have some in their box!), plus some chocolate treats and a surprise egg each – they have been loving those videos on YouTube Kids of people opening eggs so these will be a sure-fire hit!
PJs & Christmas outfit – James is such a softie and picked up the girls matching Christmas Day outfits, and I ordered them some new winter PJs that we’ve popped in their box as well. We are having a fairly chilled out day at home for Christmas day so the girls will be comfortable & festive in these t-shirt & leggings outfits.
So, that’s what the girls will be enjoying this Christmas Eve. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions in your family?
