Earlier this week we hosted a Doc McStuffins twitter party in association with UKMums.tv at our house, with guests Sophie, Belle, Jack, and Evie joining Georgie and Lydia for lots of Doc McStuffins fun. They all had a great time, with fun party games, yummy food, and lots of laughter. Here’s a little look at what we got up to:
Once all our guests arrived we got stuck straight into the action with a Doc McStuffins Scrubs Dress Up game. The basic premise was for the children to pass around a Doctor Doc doll, while music is played. The music stopped and they had to get dressed in Doc’s scrubs and light up shoes as quick as they could, and shout “Next patient please!” before the music restarted.
It was a fun take on pass the parcel and the kids really enjoyed it. Each child that successfully dressed up in the time got to choose a prize from a fab selection of goodies we were sent, and they had a lot of fun doing it.
Next up was Dentist Doc Tic Tac Toe. While the younger kids played with the Dentist Doc doll, the older children (and the adults too!) played a few games of Doc McStuffins themed Tic Tac Toe.
Jack won his game against his little sister Evie, but I think Lydia triumphed over big sister Georgie… with a bit of Daddy’s help! Even if they didn’t all quite understand what was going on, they had fun placing the picture tiles on the board.
Once we had finished playing Tic Tac Toe, it was time for some lunch. There was a selection of Kiddylicious snacks included in the box, so the kids tucked into a healthy party lunch including smoothie melts, fruit wriggles, fresh fruit, teeny tiny sandwiches, and some Ella’s Kitchen cookies.
Of course, you can’t have a party without cake – or jelly! The kids loved the Doc McStuffins cake that had been included in our box, and the adults enjoyed a slice each too – yummy.
Once lunch was cleared away, the kids were re-energised and ready for more party action. We started off by creating eye charts; cutting out pictures of Doc McStuffins bits & pieces and gluing them onto colourful charts. The older children enjoyed practising their scissor skills, and I don’t think I have ever met a child that dislikes a bit of sticking, so all six children liked this activity.
Our last activity was a bit of role play fun; the children were given an eye chart and an Eye Doctor Play Set and set about testing each other’s eyesight. We stuck the chart to the door, and James helped each child come forward and identify the characters on the chart.
Sophie evidently decided her eyesight wasn’t up to scratch, and decided on these blue flower frames from the play set.
With our last game over, it was time to give out the amazing goodie bags and say goodbye to our guests. Georgie and Lydia could barely wait for the other children to leave to start digging into theirs!
This twitter was great fun and all six children definitely enjoyed all the toys – the most popular toys were definitely the light up shoes and the two doctor dolls! A big thank you to UKMums.tv, Disney Junior, Flair PLC & Smyths Toys for letting us be involved.
