Review: We were sent this OLPRO melamine set in time for our recent holiday and it was perfect for the BBQ we had one evening. For your £29.99 you get 4 dinner plates, 4 side plates, 4 bowls and 4 mugs.

All of the dishes are generous sizes especially for an outdoor dining set, which often seem to be a bit small for my liking. They were well packed in the box, with tissue paper and sheets of cardboard between the dishes to protect them in transit.

According to the OLPRO listing for this product, the mug handles have been improved and enlarged to make them easier to hold and although I don’t know what they were like before I found these mugs easy to hold and pleasant to drink from. Georgie could manage one easily enough too.

I was impressed with how solid these feel; we have had some melamine plates and cups in the past that seemed a bit thin and flimsy – these are a good thickness and feel like they are going to withstand plenty of usage by toddlers!

The pattern on these is really lovely, perfect for outdoor dining in the garden or while camping. Cute illustrations of tents, trees, fences and so on are printed on the white dishes in various shades of green, resulting in an attractive set.

Looking at the prices online, £29.99 is very reasonable for such a good set of melamine dishware and I would be happy to pay that for something that is hopefully going to last us years. We will be taking these out with us whenever we plan picnics or BBQs, especially as we can just stick them in the dishwasher when we get home.

We give the OLPRO 16 Piece Bewdley Melamine Set 5 stars, and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a set of dishes for outdoor dining. They have the in some other gorgeous designs too!
