Product: Tommee Tippee 12m+ Active Sippee Cup
Age Range: 12 months+
Manufacturer’s Description: From 12 months onwards your little one will be crawling, walking then running around and will need to start drinking more fluids. Our 260ml insulated cup is designed to keep drinks cool, and is available in a range of colours and patterns, to encourage your little one to enjoy drinking more. And with a soft spout for tiny new teeth, easy-grip sides, and the trusty non-spill valve it’s perfect for drinking on the go.
As with all tommee tippee cups, you can add on handles from other cups in the range if your little one is happier that way, and you can remove the non-spill valve in one piece to practise free flow drinking whenever you want.
Review: Lydia has been trialling this cup since the baby show, and she really loves it. The no spill cup lives up to it’s name and Lydia hasn’t been able to spill any, despite her best efforts.
This cup is insulated without being too heavy, and a lovely size and shape for Lydia’s little hands. She really likes this cup, and won’t share it with Georgie at all. The insulation is great for keeping milk cool on warm days, which is brilliant in this weather as our living room gets quite warm in the mornings. Lydia has definitely been drinking more milk since we got this cup, as I don’t have to worry so much about her cup of milk sitting around getting warm.
All of the cups in the new Tommee Tippee no spill range are dishwasher safe, which is one thing I love about this product. I get incredibly flaky & irritated skin whenever I wash up, and also react to gloves, so try to use the dishwasher as much as possible. We use several kids cups each day and we only let the kids use dishwasher safe ones to make life easier!
The design on this cup is a really cute sketch of an apple, and the whole range of designs and shapes look great. You can swap out any lid from the new non-spill ranges, and swap handles around too, if your child prefers to use handles. The cups in the range go baby sippee cups from suitable for the first stage of weaning right up to active straw, sports lid or sippee bottles for active toddlers.
My only criticism of this cup is the valve can be difficult to completely clean, especially when you use the cup for milk. Using the dishwasher does help a lot with this, and I also give both the valve and lid a good rinse out after use, and after it has run through the dishwasher too.
Lydia is certainly very pleased with it, and I do think that this new range is pretty great. 4 stars.
