This week has been another mixed one – Lydia and I went down to London for a day, and we had some of the girls friends over for a fun twitter party, but the rest of the week has been really relaxed as we’ve all been under the weather & that was enough activity for us lot! The girls haven’t missed any school/pre-school, but they’ve slept poorly thanks to bad coughs, and at one point Lydia sounded like a creature from the deep when she spoke, instead of a sweet little two year old.
Read
I haven’t actually read this much this last week, choosing to re-read some books from my kindle library, whilst half asleep in bed mostly! This usually ends with my kindle falling onto my face with a thunk, or getting lost under my pillow somewhere. I have to admit I did try the sample of Stephenie Meyer’s backwards Twilight, Life & Death, but I just didn’t get comfortable with it, so didn’t buy it despite the original Twilight books being a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.
Watched
James and I are really enjoying watching You, Me and The Apocalypse on Now TV
* – we just watched the latest two episodes last night and it is really entertaining, and oddly moving in places. I am really enjoying the mad mixture of characters they have come up with, and seeing how they all intertwine.

It’s been a bit of a poorly people week in this house, both girls have a nasty cough, and James has got some sort of virus too. I’ve had an achy migraine filled week, so lots of feeling sorry for ourselves! This has led to some serious comfort watching with Lydia & Georgie – we have worked through Monsters University, Toy Story, Duck Tales the Movie, Robin Hood, Ratatouille, and Winnie the Pooh from the Now TV movies
* catalogue – a very indulgent week on the Disney/Pixar front!
Wore
I have a really cool new t-shirt from GamerPrint that I am reviewing, so I wore that this week. It is comfy and very nostalgic – do any of you know what game it references? (comment if you do – and no cheating!)
Heard
I’ve been continuing to listen to the The Runaway Actress audiobook
* on my iPhone while I walk to pick Lydia up, and sometimes as I am trying to sleep. I’m really enjoying the story and it was well worth an audible credit! I have the basic account right now which gets me a book a month to listen to.
Made
Lydia and I went along to the I Just Love It blogging event this week which was great fun. I’ll be blogging about it more in a few days, but here is a pic of Lydia busy decorating some cakes! She was a little star.
and lastly…
This week we’ve been enjoying some family gaming. When we bought our Wii U earlier this year it came with a bundle of games, including Super Mario 3D World. We’ve been playing this all together this week, and the kids love it. James and I have a controller each, Georgie takes the GamePad, and Lydia merrily waves a PS3 controller around and shouts encouragement.
I play as Princess Peach, James is Mario, and Georgie is really fantastic at freezing enemies, collecting coins, activating things, and smashing blocks on the GamePad screen. Lydia awards me congratulatory kisses whenever we complete a level, and Georgie likes it when James and I share the crown – which is awarded to the player with the highest points! It’s really fun to sit and work together to complete the levels and ferret out the secret pathways and things.
Have a great weekend!

You four look so cute playing games together! So sad I missed the blog event but it clashed with school pick up. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend x
We got a Wii U but it still needs setting up. Looks like it will be lots of fun to play together.
I’m so pleased you mentioned You Me and the Apocalypse. We watched the first one then forgot about it! Will get it on catch up.
Have a great week xx
