We’ve been to Hatton Adventure World a few times now and the girls always enjoy themselves there without fail. We were invited to spend the day there with the team for Toyz World and spent the morning testing out some BeBop bouncy castles, before being handed wristbands for Hatton to enjoy the sunny afternoon exploring and having fun.
The children always love seeing all the animals at Hatton, and make a beeline to visit the barn and the guinea pigs. They are very cute! We didn’t manage to time it right to hold the guinea pigs this visit, but they had a lot of fun watching them run about.
Hatton has a great variety of play areas and climbing frames with something for everyone. Both the girls love the large frame as it has a long wavy slide as your reward for climbing all the way up! Lydia was able to do it all with no help this visit, and was so proud of herself. I enjoyed the chance to sit and rest my foot a bit.
The girls love doing this like this day out together and it makes me glad that we had them so close together, as they play together so well and are at such similar stages that Lydia is able to join in with a lot, and Georgie helps her little sister out when she needs it.
They have this huge inflatable slide at Hatton and this is the first time that Georgie has been brave enough to climb all the way up and slide down. Our fearless Lydia was straight in there and, after a boost to get on the first step to begin with, was soon clambering her way up, bouncing with joy at the top, and sliding back down with glee. Both girls just went round and round on it until we dragged them off to see something else.
I was laughing the whole time they played on it, as Lydia may be determined but she is still small, and her little legs and arms made for a slow ascent up the slanted ladder/steps. As such, every time she went up, the slide part would completely empty and the ladder become backed up with children, who to their credit were very patient and kind to her, waiting for Lydia to make it all the way up. Seconds later there would be child after child bombing down the slide in quick succession, only for the whole thing to repeat next time Lydia managed to scramble up the first few steps.
We took advantage of Hatton’s strawberry fields being open (and free!), and filled a few punnets to take home with us and enjoy. Strawberries are Georgie’s absolute favourite fruit so she was delighted. Both the girls enjoy berry picking and they were both very careful not to pick green ones, with Lydia taking responsibility for one of the punnets and removing any that Georgie put in that were green. There was a bit of quality control tasting by all four pickers, too!
With the sun shining down on us, the opportunity to find sparkling gold and win a medal was unmissable. You don’t have to pay anything extra to play in the gold panning bit, and if you delivery 10 chunks of fools gold to the nearby kiosk they will exchange it for a Hatton medal which both girls were extremely pleased with.
No visit to Hatton is complete without popping into the cafe and soft play area, which has the most amazing slides. With my foot playing up still, I sent Georgie to the top of this slide armed with a mat solo for the first time, and after plucking up her courage she sorted herself out and slid down on her own.
It didn’t take long for her to jump up with a grin, grab her mat, and race back to the top to go again. After a few tries she was missing her sister and so we hunted down Lydia and Daddy to help out and not long after that Lydia was going down on a mat of her own with Daddy just helping her with her mat at the top. The slide goes super fast and the girls had loads of fun before admitting to being tired enough for it to be time to visit the sweet shop and head home.

There is so much to do at Hatton isn’t there, it always makes for a fun day. I think it’s the first time we’ve been when the weather has been warm! It was lovely to see you all again x
