Lydia is really into playing peepo at the moment, and can be found playing with her bowl or plate after most meals. I shouldn’t really encourage her as she gets even messier than usual, but it is just so cute!
She can’t say “peepo” or “peekaboo” yet, but instead Lydia makes this adorable noise as she holds something up over face, pulling the item away at the climax of the noise. It’s so sweet to watch her sitting there saying “uhhhh-ya!” over & over, with a massive grin on her face.
If you call out “boo” to her as her face reappears, you are rewarded with an approving look and a happy giggle. Lydia will play this game with blankets, clothes, whatever is handy really. It’s lovely how the simple things in life can bring such pleasure.

so cute, love the bubble wrapped chair, great idea! 🙂
Hehe thanks. We’re staying with my parents so it’s doing a dual purpose of stopping Lydia from bashing her head, and protecting their chair from getting mucky at every meal 🙂
Our youngest is at this stage too. She loves peepo. She hasn’t tried it with a bowl yet, that could get messy!
Hehe when I got her up from breakfast after taking these photos I found a pile of rice crispies on her lap! 😀
Ah I love these pictures, really cute! x
Thanks – she was having a lot of fun 🙂
Very cute photo, I want all my chairs to be bubble wrapped.
Thank you for linking up
Hehe the bubble wrap certainly added some glamour to our Christmas Dinner photos! It’s doing a good job of preventing Lydia from bashing her head too hard on the wood though. Thanks for commenting 🙂
wow great photo!
Thank you! She’s a sweetie pie 🙂
Tooooo cute!
Hehe thank you, I’d have to agree! 🙂
Nothing better than a smiling peepo face
I would have to agree with that one! It’s so fun seeing her interact more & more 🙂
Awww bless her – gorgeous photos! x
Thank you! She’s a little sweetheart 🙂
Such a beautiful smile, I love the bubblewrapped chair too, is that to keep it clean?
Thank you! It is mostly to stop Lydia hurting herself too badly as she was whacking her head backwards into the the chair when she was getting frustrated! It does help to keep the chair clean though 🙂
Adorable!
