A night at the drive-in

On Friday we took the girls along to Merry Hill to watch Toy Story 3 at the drive-in. It was a late night for the girls but a lot of fun. The movie was the start of a weekend long event “Everyones Invited” with all sorts of things happening including music and dance performances. One thing I really like about Merry Hill’s drive-in events is that they donate all the ticket money to charity – in this case it was local charity Promise Dreams.

Review: Thomas & Friends: Tale of the Brave (DVD) (at Drayton Manor Park)

Tale of the Brave is the latest Thomas & Friends film, and we were lucky enough to be invited to go along to Drayton Manor, home of Thomas Land, to watch the new film in the cinema there. I took Lydia and Georgie along on the train for the day, to check out the new film and have some fun on the rides afterwards!

The film is great fun, a tale of ghosts, bravery and friendship. Several new characters are introduced and they have some scary and exciting adventures. There are some fun songs, some ever so slightly scary bits, and lessons about what courage really is, and how friends help each other.
