Thomas the tank engine, his friends, the island of Sodor, pirates, and lost treasure – what better combination could there be!? This new Thomas film has all of these in abundance, and has been very well received by our two small Thomas fans.
Mike the Knight is currently visiting Warwick Castle, and we were invited to come and see him! As well as spending the afternoon taking part in all sorts of knightly activities and taking selfies with a dragon (yes, really!), we were there to watch the new Mike the Knight film, Journey to Dragon Mountain.
Tale of the Brave is the latest Thomas & Friends film, and we were lucky enough to be invited to go along to Drayton Manor, home of Thomas Land, to watch the new film in the cinema there. I took Lydia and Georgie along on the train for the day, to check out the new film and have some fun on the rides afterwards!
The film is great fun, a tale of ghosts, bravery and friendship. Several new characters are introduced and they have some scary and exciting adventures. There are some fun songs, some ever so slightly scary bits, and lessons about what courage really is, and how friends help each other.
Georgie is a huge Thomas fan so I was sure that this DVD would be a great success. I have to say, I wasn’t wrong!
Merry Christmas, Thomas! is a collection of six festive themed Thomas & Friends episodes which are all really lovely & enjoyable. Georgie enjoyed each of the stories, and to be completely honest James and I did too! Even Lydia crawled over to the TV to watch the trains choo-choo-ing around Sodor.
We were invited to a special VIP preview screening of King of the Railway at Drayton Manor, home of the infamous Thomas Land, to celebrate the release of this latest Thomas & Friends instalment. I’ll post more about our day at Drayton Manor in another post, for this review I’ll just talk about going to see the film…
Georgie really enjoyed this DVD, Sooty is one of those classic shows that appeals to children of all ages. The cover art is fun and appealing – our little girl picked this one out of a pile to watch first, so it must be good!
Alphablocks is one of Georgie’s favourite CBeebies shows, so when we were offered this DVD to review, we accepted the offer gladly! The Alphablocks are fun & colourful characters who have all sorts of adventures. There is a different character for each letter, and the letters team up to spell out the words, which then magically come to life.
