We received a mysterious cardboard suitcase in the post, labelled with stickers from far flung places. Nestled inside the suitcase we found a range of cleaning products created by “Professor P Scrubbington” and aimed at young children who want to start taking charge of their own bath time. I was immediately impressed by the look of these products; they are fun without being too childish or babyish, which I would guess would be perfect for pre-teen aged kids who are leaving their babyish days behind – but they still appeal to our two young girls.… Continue Reading “Review: Professor Scrubbington’s Emporium of Clean”
We have been testing out this thermometer in both the girls room and their baths. It is really easy to use – you just pop it into the bath or stand it up on it’s plastic stand, and it displays the temperature of the water/room. The display is activated by tapping it, or dropping it into water.… Continue Reading “Review: Tommee Tippee Bath and Room Thermometer”
We were invited to review the Chemist Direct website & service, and given a voucher to spend on the site. We had to spend over the voucher amount in order to use it, and so we spent £50.34 on a box full of supplies for our family.
I thought that the website had a good range of products, although I did feel some areas were lacking, for example they stock baby and adult bath bubbles and soaks, but I couldn’t find any children’s bubbles like Matey. They do have some good brands and I was pleased to find my favourite Aussie shampoo & conditioner in stock so I ordered plenty of that to keep me going.… Continue Reading “Review: Chemist Direct”
Unfortunately for Georgie, she has inherited my dry skin, which means that she is already familiar with the world of eczema and all it’s trappings; flare ups, lotions, creams, and bath oils. We were offered a range of Aveeno products suitable for dry & sensitive skin to review, along with their new childrens book, “Bye Bye Dry Skin!”… Continue Reading “Review: Aveeno Skin Care”
We have been trying out the Anovia Kids Blackcurrant & Apple 3 in 1 shampoo, bodywash & bubble bath for a few weeks now and have been pretty pleased with the product, on the whole.
This fun-looking product is contained in a bright & colourful star shaped bottle, complete with cartoon facial features. Georgie thinks it looks great!
We have used the product as a bubble bath, and also to wash the girls’ hair and skin. First up, what we think of the product as a bubble bath. It’s not bad, with a good amount of bubbles popping up when you pour it in. They don’t last amazingly long, though.… Continue Reading “Review: Anovia Kids Blackcurrant & Apple 3 in 1 shampoo, bodywash & bubble bath”
We were sent the Toothy Fruity toothpaste a little while ago to review, and Georgie has been using it ever since. We’ve even bought a second tube so there’s no possibility of us running out!
Right from the first brush, Georgie loved this toothpaste. Since we started using it, we don’t have to convince her to brush her teeth – instead, our trouble is now wrestling the toothbrush back out of her stubborn two-year-old death grip.… Continue Reading “Review: Halos N Horns Toothy Fruity Toothpaste”
We were sent a few things from the Earth Friendly Baby range to review, and first up is this happy mandarin shampoo & bodywash.
Our first impressions of the product were positive; the packaging is simple, friendly and informative. I was quick to open the lid and have a sniff – it smells great! This shampoo has a lovely fresh mandarin smell.… Continue Reading “Review: Earth Friendly Baby happy mandarin shampoo & bodywash”
I have been using my tube of Lanolin nipple cream since Lydia was born, and have found it fantastic for soothing and protecting my nipples.
Lydia is exclusively breastfed, and is now feeding well – and often!… Continue Reading “Review: Lansinoh HPA Lanolin Nipple Cream”
One of the more annoying things about pregnancy is remembering to be good. You have to remember to take your pre-natal vitamins, which include the essential folic acid, and you have to try to drink plenty too.… Continue Reading “Review: Waterbaby Folic Acid Pregnancy Care Drink”
Sudocrem sunscreen mousse makes a lot of promises, including being very water-resistant, hypoallergenic, delivering high protection… all whilst being easy & quick to rub in. The short version of this review would be… it delivers, on all these promises.… Continue Reading “Review: Sudocrem Sunscreen Mousse SPF 50”
Georgie has been having some issues with dry skin (I’m afraid that would be my genes playing up!) and so when we were sent the Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse to try out I was pleased to give it a go to see whether it would be any help.… Continue Reading “Review: Sudocrem Moisturising Mousse”
