Georgie was bouncing around doing a rather good rabbit/frog hopping impression, when this conversation took place…
Georgie: “Mummy say ‘What are you doing?’!” (in a very bossy tone of voice)
Me: “Ok, what are you doing?”
Georgie: “I’m hopping!!”
Me: “Ok”
Georgie: “Mummy say ‘What are you?’!” (even bossier)
Me: “Ok, what are you?”
Georgie: “I’m a rabbit! Hop hop flop!”
Georgie is becoming a bit of a bossy boots at times, little madam! Earlier she had been saying the same thing over & over for about five minutes, and when I tried to catch her on video saying it she started saying “Georgie can’t talk! Georgie can’t talk!” instead. Little drama queen 😉
The “hop hop flop” is thanks to one of Georgie’s favourite bedtime books, “Say Goodnight to the Sleepy Animals!
” – the rabbits in this book make that noise as they go to bed & now she is convinced that this is the noise that rabbits make. The book is really lovely and great for winding down at the end of the day.

We have a much-loved copy of “Say Hello to the Animals!
” as well, and they will be getting a few more from the series this Christmas too, thanks to the £5 Amazon vouchers EE were giving out to their customers to celebrate their birthday! I am planning a Christmas Eve surprise box this year, as I think the girls deserve an extra treat after such a disruptive time, and so I will put the new books in there to unwrap & read on Christmas Eve. We’ve run out of money this month so I’ll be putting that together in December, so look out for that.
@zoecorkhill I get this with the little boy I look after. “Josie ask me where the train buffers are.”…
@zoecorkhill This evening I have also had “Josie let’s touch tongues” urnmm no.
@zoecorkhill Also my Mum gets these fab sets from the book people to wrap individually for her baby group.
