Lydia is going to be four on the 27th Feb… in just one week. It seems a bit unreal that our youngest girl is almost four! She is really looking forward to her birthday party, which we are doing for the weekend after her birthday.
It’s just going to be a small group of little girls invading our house and having lots of princess fun. There are only two other little girls at her playgroup now (it closes at the end of this term so some left early to secure other nursery places), and so she doesn’t have a lot of friends her age to invite anymore.
Lydia is our girly girl and decided she would like a Disney Princess birthday. Starting with her birthday cake which I will be making for her actual birthday, and then a Princess Party to celebrate with her friends.
I designed some Princess Party invitations on my iPad for her to hand out.
For her birthday cake I am planning a Rapunzel doll cake, so wish me luck with that one! Lydia is very excited so I hope I do the many YouTube tutorial videos she has watched justice.
Her party is going to be a Disney Princess explosion, basically. We have princess decorations, tableware, some bits & pieces for game prizes, and even some very special custom made party bags from the Party Wiz, which we will be reviewing here on the blog.
For her party cakes I’m going to make Princess cupcakes with wafer Princesses finished with icing skirts, so we have a cake stand to display my (hopefully) fantastic edible creations on, and cupcake cases to bake them in.
For the pass the parcel, I got a carry along colouring set and a sticker set to wrap up, with small sticker sheets and little bags of sweets to go in between the layers.
I’ve got some other bits for the “best dancer” and “the best at musical statues”, that kind of thing – a set of snap cards, and a colouring set. We are planning to pop into Cadbury World to get a box of Freddos in the bargain corner (a benefit of living in South Birmingham!) to hand out as extra prizes too.
It’s going to be an extremely princessy party!!!

Disney Princess parties are so much fun. I love the party bags
I can’t believe Lydia is going to be 4! When did this happen!? It seemed only yesterday she was a tiny baby at my wedding. Hope she has a wonderful birthday and party. Can’t wait to see the Rapunzel cake.
This sounds like a perfect party. I am yet to plan a princess party for August and will be sure to come back to this post then x
