This weeks Sunday Photo is something a little bit different… a Zentangle doodle. I have been experimenting with structured doodling after a friend of mine posted her doodles on Facebook, and then created a fab little iPhone/Android app with pattern guides.
After seeing Katherine’s entry into the Diva Challenge linky using the “Aquafleur” pattern, I decided to have a go. This is the result! I had to create a Zentangle doodle incorporating the pattern, so I started with a large one in the centre of the page and spread out from there.
I’ve been feeling really stressed this week, and missing the support of James so much, especially with the kids. My parents are being great, but it’s always going to be more difficult when you’re not in your own home. I have this feeling of “I just want to go home” but there is no home to go to… yet! The good news is everything is in place for our seller’s return from wherever he is, and so hopefully things will speed up in a few weeks and we will be in our new home soon.
With all the stress and how ill I’ve been feeling, finding a new way to “unplug” and relax is great. Normally when I feel like this I find solace in hiding away in my bedroom with a jigsaw puzzle, but my puzzle board and all of my jigsaws are in storage! Sometimes it is good to relax and disconnect from the online world, and not just to do something with the girls, but to do something to calm my mind and help me destress.
My Mum must approve of me doodling away my stress, as she let me raid her amazing stationery stash for a bunch of fineline pens, and also came home from work one day having bought me a nice thick plain jotter pad.

I love this, It would look great on a tablet case
Thank you for linking up
Thanks! I used it as a jigsaw image on my iPad jigsaw app – it was nice and challenging 🙂
Oh love the red aquafleur.
There were so many entries to choose from in the diva post. I chose yours because of your name. MamaGeek 🙂
