Earlier this week, James and I attended press night of The Lovely Bones at The Birmingham Repertory Theatre in the city centre. We were absolutely blown away by everything about it; the set, the story, the costumes, the music, the acting… everything.
This morning we headed into the city centre to see Emily Brown and the Thing by Tall Stories Theatre Company, at Birmingham Hippodrome.
Last week we attended the press night for The Wizard of Oz at The REP Birmingham and were absolutely blown away by the show. It was totally fantastic, from start to finish – all four of us really enjoyed it.
On Saturday morning we headed over to Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) to see Rudolf, their new children’s theatre show suitable for children aged 4+.
Last Saturday we headed to Arena Birmingham to see Paw Patrol Live: The Great Pirate Adventure. Live shows like this one are a great way of introducing children to the concept of live theatre, with the characters they know and love coming to life on the stage.
On Sunday afternoon we headed to Cannon Hill park here in Birmingham to see the Pinky Ponk show at In The Night Garden Live. The 2018 tour is now underway, and it is the last clnance to watch the beloved characters from the Night Garden in their infamous Showdome.
We recently attended the press night of the new stage adaptation of one of my favourite childhood books, The Hundred and One Dalmations, at the Birmingham REP Theatre.
Georgie and Lydia both really enjoyed a trip to the Patrick Centre at the Birmingham Hippodrome, where we were invited to go along and watch the 45 minute show What the Moon Saw by 2Faced Dance Company.
This morning we headed to Barclaycard Arena to see Paw Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue, and the girls were ridiculously excited. Clutching their soft toy pups and wearing their new tour t-shirts, the girls were singing Paw Patrol songs in the car on the way, and generally bursting with anticipation.
It’s been a very busy week with the last few days of school, my birthday, some lovely outings and the house in chaos, so it was really nice to escape the craziness for a few hours on Thursday evening to experience some wonderful outdoor theatre at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
