As I’ve mentioned once or twice already, our budget this Christmas is rather modest. While I think we’ve done quite well with what we’ve had to spend, I can’t help lusting over one or two things that are unfortunately out of reach right now!

How sweet are some of these toys?
With Georgie’s love of imaginative play, the market stall and shopping troller would both be perfect for lots of pretending! I just know that she would adore to play shop, and I love that the market stall has wheels, allowing you to move it about easily. Her love of wooden trains and cars made the Bigjigs Toys road & rail set an obvious choice, and the height adjustable easel would be perfect for her emerging creative side.
Georgie loves to play outside, and in the New Year we are buying our first house, with space for a playhouse and trampoline in the garden (just about!). I think both our girls would love to have a little place of their own & that snug playhouse is so sweet! Georgie’s addiction to bouncing on just about everything proves she is more than ready to graduate to her first proper trampoline! I love the look of the Paul’s Yard bike, and the fact it converts from a balance bike to first pedal bike when your child reaches that stage means the play value is much better too.
The three activity toys on the list for Lydia are all perfect for the stage she is at the moment; pulling herself up on things to stand and play, and beginning to manipulate toys much more purposefully. She loves bright colours and music too, so the activity table would have her entertained for ages
No toy wishlist is complete without a rocking horse, and I love the horses available at Little Bird Told Me. This one is suitable from 9 months + but they have slightly larger ones for toddlers too.
Lastly, I would really like to have two Tripp Trapps for our new house next year. The highchair we bought for Georgie, and her booster seat, are both broken & have been carted off to the tip. Our dining table & chairs are in storage already so Georgie has been eating at her little table, and Lydia is using the Cushi Tush.
After we have moved I really want to be able to have them both sitting up at the table in a pair of Tripp Trapps! Unfortunately price tag is going to be beyond us to begin with (the new house could do with a few things first… like a working oven), so I will be scouring eBay on the hunt for bargains.
Well, that is my unattainable dream shopping list this year! Is there anything you really want to buy for your kids but just can’t afford?

Some gorgeous things.. We’d love that train set!! Easel wise, IKEA do an easel almost identical to that and it is an absolute steal at £16 (I blogged about it http://thismummy.com/childrens-art-and-craft-finds-from-ikea/ if you fancy a nosey). Our easel has been on of the best things we have bought, Lissy has played with it most days since she got it at 14 months last Christmas (she had a little IKEA stool to stand on then but can reach it properly now).
