With last night’s announcement from Apple, what else could this weeks Wednesday Wishlist be, really?! It doesn’t always have to be something just for Georgie (though I will let her play with it… safely in the Fisher Price case we plan to buy soon!)
I watched the keynote video this morning (even though I read various liveblogs as it was happening – I am such a geek sometimes!) and it made me want the new iPhone so bad! I’m currently using an iPhone 3GS which is now several models old, and after well over 2 years of intensive use, has pretty terrible battery life and a cracked screen to boot. Oh, and a small hole in the corner of the plastic back from one of the times I’ve dropped it, and maybe I broke the mute switch as well. Oops! It’s had a hard life, poor thing.
I’m definitely due for an upgrade and I couldn’t be happier with the specs of the new model – the camera looks amazing which is something I really look forward to having, and I can’t imagine how useful Siri (the intelligent voice recognition ‘personal assistant’) will be when I have my hands full of baby!
Speaking (typing?) of Georgie, she was pretty fascinated by the Keynote, and even managed to sit up unaided for the first time (for a decent length of time) – I was a very proud mama! I’ve had my suspicions that she has been capable of sitting up on her own for a while but she doesn’t like it that much (she prefers to stand) and is rather lazy about bothering to put the effort in! We are raising her to be an Apple fan like her mummy & daddy!
Thankfully, I shouldn’t have to wait for this wishlist item to make it’s way into my grubby hands! The plan is to buy mine in the next few months, and James will be getting his after Christmas when his 3GS contract runs out 😀
