Keep Britain Breastfeeding Scavenger Hunt 2013

As part of the Keep Britain Breastfeeding Scavenger Hunt 2013, I am pleased to announce that I have not one, but two Therlaine Wynnie nursing pillows to giveaway! I reviewed this nursing pillow here on my blog a few weeks ago and it received a very well deserved 5 stars!

Today is all about breastfeeding tips on the scavenger hunt, and one of my top tips when breastfeeding is to get yourself a decent nursing pillow so this giveaway is perfect for today! Trust me when I say you are going to be spending a lot of time sat on the sofa or in bed breastfeeding your baby, and a nursing pillow will make your life a lot easier.

It’s worth spending a small amount of money on a nursing pillow to make the hours of breastfeeding ahead of you as comfortable as possible! They double up as a great baby support too, when your little one is starting to want to sit up more:

  1. Top breastfeeding tip: don’t stress if you’re finding it
difficult, some days will be harder than others, just keep calm and
    do your best 🙂

  2. My twins are due any time now so I’ll go with my best friend’s tip which is to persist with feeding and make sure they are latching properly!

  3. My breastfeeding supporter is the many ladies on a breastfeeding forum who are there 24/7 for advice and moral support

  4. My top tip would be get yourself a little foot stool (I use a stepstool for kids) to put your feet on when you are nursing, some how having my knees slightly higher made everyone lots more comfy!

  5. My tip is to buy some vests to wear under your normal tops, to cover your wobbly bits and give you more confidence to feed anywhere, you can buy special feeding vests with clips but this time round I’ve just bought a few cheap normal ones which do the job 🙂 also a pretty, lightweight scarf is useful for a variety of things, covering, catching puke, covering a leak, keeping the sun out of baby’s face. Go mamas!

  6. My top tip is to not let anyone question your milk supply, if your baby is giving you plenty of wet and dirty nappies then your doing just fine :)…My breastfeeding supporter are the Pink Ladies 🙂

  7. Don’t be afraid of co-sleeping – just follow the guidelines and your instincts. It makes night feeds so much easier, you both sleep better, and I bleieve it helped my milk supply. My husband is very supportive, I am very lucky. Also very lucky to have a lot of local bf support groups – here’s a shout out to Poole Old Town Bosom Buddies and the great Julie Boddington!

  8. My hubby is my supporter. Always told me I was doing a great job even though I doubted myself a lot in the early days.

  9. My partner was a great support to me and one of my close friends is a midwife and has bf all of her 4 kids so she was great for asking advice I wish she had lived closer though she was150miles away!x
