Yesterday we had a great morning. A simple outing to Camelford took us several hours, and was lots & lots of fun for the girls!
First a trip to the playground and then the library, with a small side trip into a charity shop on the way back to the car. Georgie thoroughly approved of Camelford’s playground, as it had climbing and sliding things,
swinging and see-sawing things,
and spinning and wibbling-wobbling things!
Meanwhile, Lydia just chilled out in her pushchair and watched the fun!
Once we were finally done at the park (it took a while. Mum actually went off to the doctors to get her flu jab and we were still going when she got back), we headed to the library, where the girls stripped off their outdoor layers and proceeded to have a whale of a time playing and looking at books. We ended up with a pile of 14 books to borrow, and two happy, hungry, tired out children.
Mind you, that didn’t stop Georgie asking Grandma to read all 14 books to her when we got home.
After such horrible weather lately it was really lovely to get out and have a really good dose of fresh air. Georgie is addicted to playgrounds so it’s great that there is such a fun one a short drive away for us to visit, even if she did insist on going on the absolute biggest climbing frame and slide! We will definitely be back there soon… I do love discovering new places to play and have fun.
As for the side trip into the charity shop? Well, Mum & I picked up some bargains, all for Georgie! Mum found a Rod Campbell book (Here’s Buster – but where’s teddy?
*) in great condition for just 50p, and I got a new fleece jumper for Georgie, a Little Miss Sunshine lidded cup with straw for her, and a lovely partitioned plate with animals on that I think she will adore.
That sounds like a lovely fun day out, always good to discover decent play parks and libraries. #CountryKids
It’s great to have a mental map with all the good baby/toddler friendly places to go! I am starting to develop mine for around Mum & Dads 🙂
It’s surprising that for such a small place Camelford has a lot to offer and the park is one of them hidden back off the high street . They not only have the equipment but it’s a great space to explore and very picturesque in the spring and summer. Thanks for linking up and sharing your outdoor fun with Country Kids.

I have no dared to go in a library yet with my 2. Maybe I should take Noah (on his own) may I add before I take them both. I have visions of them tearing around and making as much noise as possible. Good playgrounds are hard to find, it looks like a great one near you. I love the book stash – cannot beat them. 🙂 x
