A couple of weekends ago we visited the Blithbury Reindeer Lodge to try out their ‘Christmas Lapland Experience’ with the children. The girls were really excited to see and feed the “real live reindeer” and that was definitely the highlight of our visit.
We recently popped into town and, while we were there, headed into House of Fraser to visit their in-store grotto, which has been running each Christmas at the store for quite a few years now.
Last week we attended the press night for The Wizard of Oz at The REP Birmingham and were absolutely blown away by the show. It was totally fantastic, from start to finish – all four of us really enjoyed it.
Last weekend we spent a morning enjoying some time at one of the kids’ favourite places, the Birmingham Sea Life Centre, which is currently looking pretty festive for their Christmas event! You can visit Santa in his grotto (included in the standard ticket price) and enjoy a Christmas film in the 4D cinema.
At the weekend we headed down the road to visit Cadbury World to check out what they have on offer this year for their Christmas Celebration Weekends. The girls really enjoy visiting Cadbury World – especially the chocolate making area!
On Saturday morning we headed over to Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) to see Rudolf, their new children’s theatre show suitable for children aged 4+.
One thing that the children look forward to and really enjoy each winter is going to visit Santa – or his ‘helpers’ at least – and taking part in as many of the festive activities in the West Midlands we can manage. Where we live there are plenty of places to go and see Father …
Last week we were invited along to check out the launch event of SnowDome’s festive offering; Santa’s Winter Wonderland. With real snow to play in, a show to entertain you, and real life reindeer to meet, it was a great way to spend an evening.
On Saturday morning we hopped in the car and drove over to the NEC Birmingham to attend the Brick Live show – “built for LEGO fans” – for a day full of building and looking at lots and lots of LEGO models!
Earlier this week the girls and I headed into the city centre to check out Sea Life’s half term offering; the Halloween inspired “Ascarium” complete with a Sea Witch and a hunt for her missing spell ingredients.
