On Sunday afternoon we drove up to West Bromwich to attend the ‘VIP launch event’ of Inflata Nation’s latest ‘inflatable theme park’, which opened this week. We spent a happy two hours bouncing about, exploring all the centre had to offer, and slurping on some refreshing slushies!
Earlier this month we headed over to Thomas Land at Drayton Manor for the premiere event of the new Thomas & Friends special, Digs & Discoveries, taking one of the girl’s friends along with us for a fun day out.
On Saturday morning we drove over to Coventry to go and see some very big and very loud monster trucks do some pretty incredible things… and get very muddy in the process!
During the half term break, we popped into Sea Life Birmingham for a morning to check out the LEGO Sea Explorers event, and the girls were also excited to get their first glimpse of the new baby penguin chick.

As regular visitors to the centre, we knew something big was happening – a large area of the centre had been closed …
We went to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre last week to attend the launch of their LEGO Movie Days event, in celebration of the LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
The girls have been really eager to go to the new LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Birmingham, so when we told them we were going to be annual pass holders they were delighted. They really adore going to Sea Life Centre, as regular readers of my blog will know, so being able to go to LDC just across the canal is super exciting for them – we’ll be able to do both in one day quite often, especially with LDC having a nice little cafe inside with a decently priced kids meal deal.
This morning we headed into the city centre to see Emily Brown and the Thing by Tall Stories Theatre Company, at Birmingham Hippodrome.
A few weeks ago – before everyone took turns being ill and Lydia had surgery – we went to the IDEAS Birmingham Etsy Made Local event. I blogged about the event before we went, and now I’m back to share what we saw, what we did, and what we bought.
A week or so ago we picked up one of Georgie’s best friends, Lily, and took her for a day out at Warwick Castle with us, to check out what they have on offer for the Christmas season. It was a really lovely day out and thankfully the weather was (mostly) kind to us, letting us explore the castle and grounds to our hearts content.
