At the weekend we drove down to Hatton Adventure World in Warwickshire to check out their Halloween half term offering; Pumpkin Spooktacular. With everything from a witch to learn spells from to a hunt for pumpkin animal signs, there is plenty of Halloween goodness to enjoy and to keep you entertained all day long.
On Sunday we drove over to Drayton Manor to spend the day enjoying the rides and finding out just what they have going on for their Halloween half term “More Treat than Trick” event.
At the weekend we headed over to Twycross Zoo near Atherstone to attend the launch event for the Great Brick Safari which is at the zoo until 7th January. With over 70 life-sized LEGO brick animals on display, our pair of LEGO addicts had a great time racing around hunting for them all.
I love roast lamb. It is pretty much right up there in my all time top 5 meals. When we were invited to come along and try Toby Carvery’s new menu, which includes lamb on Sundays, we were happy to go along and try it out.
This year we have been away a few times with the girls, and have taken half a day each time to do some geocaching. We find it a great way to explore new areas and visit places you might not have visited otherwise, with the added excitement of the ‘treasure hunting’ element of it all. …
Last Saturday we headed to Arena Birmingham to see Paw Patrol Live: The Great Pirate Adventure. Live shows like this one are a great way of introducing children to the concept of live theatre, with the characters they know and love coming to life on the stage.
At the weekend we headed into town to visit the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. We have been ambassadors for the Birmingham centre for several years now, and I’m delighted to report that we’ve been invited to continue for a further year! Georgie and Lydia were delighted by this news, as they really enjoy our visits.
We were up and about earlier than our usual time for a Sunday morning at the weekend as we had a very excited breakfast booked – at Cadbury World! They are hosting Character Breakfasts throughout July, giving you the chance to eat breakfast in the company of Freddo, Caramel Bunny, Bertie Bassett and Mr Cadbury’s Parrot.
On Sunday afternoon we headed to Cannon Hill park here in Birmingham to see the Pinky Ponk show at In The Night Garden Live. The 2018 tour is now underway, and it is the last clnance to watch the beloved characters from the Night Garden in their infamous Showdome.
Sea Life Birmingham have a new attraction this spring, and it is ethereally beautiful – the jellyfish have a brand new (bigger and better!) area inside the centre, after the old jellyfish area was replaced by the piranha tank we blogged about recently.
