We were sent one of these duvets to review a few weeks ago, and have been luxuriating in it’s wonderful fluffiness ever since. Definitely a case of love at first snuggle, this duvet is really comfy and cosy to sleep under, whilst still being breathable and light-weight.
This sling bookcase, from the same World’s Apart range as Georgie’s new table & stool set, was a perfect item for us to review. Georgie is an avid reader and has definitely inherited her mother’s love of books! Frankly, we were starting to run out of places to keep her books, so a new bookcase is a welcome addition to our furniture collection!
As soon as I opened the parcel the table & stools were delivered in, Georgie was excited. The colour palette & sweet flowers & butterflies design on the new Patchwork range of furniture is very appealing.
Although I never wanted to have an overwhelming amount of “girly girl” stuff for Georgie & Lydia (hence the jungle themed bedroom), now that we have two girls & are unlikely to have any more kids in the future, there’s no harm in letting a bit of pink in the house!
Georgie has a slightly odd sized children’s bed from Ikea, so none of the standard sized mattress protectors fit her bed, and we have had a bit of a nightmare experience trying to find one we like. Most of them out there are fitted, and so we ended up with a horrible crinkly one that tied on (ineffectively, it turned out), which we paid a tenner for… and felt ripped off when it fell apart in less than 10 minutes of trying to wrestle it onto her mattress. In comparison to that, this mattress protector from The Little Green Sheep has been an absolute dream.
As I am sure any other parent knows, a toddler generates a lot of washing. There is rarely a day that our washing machine gets a holiday, and I am afraid I don’t have a lot of time to meticulously sort out our washing into colour coordinated piles, or panic about washing new items with old.
