This day has come around so fast! I have now been a Mum for two whole years, unbelievable.
Happy 2nd birthday to my gorgeous, occasionally infuriating, adorable, mischievous and completely loveable little monkey!
On Saturday I turned thirty, and I celebrated the event quietly with my family, just as I wanted to. We are down in Cornwall staying with my parents at the moment for our summer holiday, and have been having a really nice time. We drove down to Cornwall on Friday, and Saturday was a lovely …
On Saturday afternoon our house was taken over by a small army of fairies. With Grandma & Grandad up from Cornwall for the weekend, her favourite friends to play with, lots of yummy cake, not to mention the much longed for game of pass the parcel, I’m a little surprised Georgie didn’t actually explode from the …
Today is the day! Georgie’s first ever birthday party. In previous years we have celebrated by hanging out with family and friends, but now she is in pre-school we are doing the whole “invite a bunch of local kids over to wreck our house” caboodle. Georgie, our little tomboy who usually has to be convinced …
My baby girl turns two today. After a somewhat troublesome entrance into the world, she has spent the last two years delighting us, frustrating us, amusing us, and helping to fill our lives with joy. There is something about Lydia that makes people smile or laugh when they see her, and although we have naughty …

Georgiana is two on Wednesday, so I have been starting to prepare for my little girl’s big day. We’re only going to have a low-key celebration as we have been incredibly busy the last month or so, what with having a baby at the end of February and then going away lots this month! James …
My poor husband has to suffer through the yearly annoyance of having his birthday two days after Christmas, on the 27th. Usually we have Boxing Day as a “day of rest” between Christmas Day and James’s birthday, but this year that was not to be.
In addition to the fact we started the day feeling tired, James had the additional weight on his shoulders of it being his 29th birthday, which can only mean one thing… one year until he turns 30!

We started the day with presents in bed (of course!) before heading back over to my MILs once again (third day in a row) to pick up a few things we had left behind the previous evening, including my pregnancy notes & Georgie’s pillow & favourite sleeptime toys… OOPS.
