Snap Happy Britmums – Day 9, June – What are you reading?

Having just finished reading the Amelia Peabody series this week, followed by racing through a couple of chick lits, today I am starting from the beginning again with the Southern Vampire Mysteries series. I have just bought the latest book & wanted to re-read the series again first as it has been a while. This is the series that the popular tv show ‘True Blood’ is based on, and I really enjoy the books – it is another case of the books being miles better than the tv show, though I enjoy that too!

Review: Up and Down by Oliver Jeffers

Georgie is just starting to really enjoy picture books (as opposed to trying to eat them), and loves to sit on my lap and look at the pictures while I read books to her. Even though most of the picture books that we have, including this one, are too difficult for her to understand, she really loves to sit and look through any that have fantastic illustrations that are colourful and fun.

Hello Kitty Books Giveaway!

The lovely folks over at Harper Collins Children’s Books have sent the Mama Geek household some gorgeous picture books to try out, including a couple of fab Hello Kitty activity books. As Georgie is still a little young to enjoy these I thought I would share them with my blog readers instead & do a giveaway!
