We are a family of ‘building block’ fans, so any product like this which will help extend the creativity & playability for the girls, and also give them a way to display their completed LEGO models, is an interesting one.
We went to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre last week to attend the launch of their LEGO Movie Days event, in celebration of the LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
The girls have been really eager to go to the new LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Birmingham, so when we told them we were going to be annual pass holders they were delighted. They really adore going to Sea Life Centre, as regular readers of my blog will know, so being able to go to LDC just across the canal is super exciting for them – we’ll be able to do both in one day quite often, especially with LDC having a nice little cafe inside with a decently priced kids meal deal.
When we were offered LEGO Movie 2 themed LEGO sets to review the girls just about exploded with excitement! We are a pretty LEGO obsessed family and I don’t think more than a day or two go by without some building happening in our house.
On Saturday morning we hopped in the car and drove over to the NEC Birmingham to attend the Brick Live show – “built for LEGO fans” – for a day full of building and looking at lots and lots of LEGO models!
At the weekend we headed over to Twycross Zoo near Atherstone to attend the launch event for the Great Brick Safari which is at the zoo until 7th January. With over 70 life-sized LEGO brick animals on display, our pair of LEGO addicts had a great time racing around hunting for them all.
We were set a challenge to create something from the packaging of our LEGO Star Wars advent calendar, and the girls had a great time cutting, colouring, and sticking to create some fab masterpieces!
Last year we went to the amazing LEGO show that is Bricklive for the first time, and it was a really really fun day out for all the family. We are heading back to the NEC for the event this October too, and I also get to give away a pair of tickets to you …
The girls love LEGO, and they love Super Heroes, so when we found out that a new range of LEGO DC Super Hero Girls sets was being released, we were really interested and the girls were very excited to get some to review! We were sent the Super Hero High School, Batgirl Batjet Chase, and Wonder Woman Dorm.
