Expected to be one of the top toys this Christmas, Boxer is a fun interactive palm-sized robot suitable for 6 years+ from Spinmaster. We were sent one of these little guys to review, and the girls think he is great!… Continue Reading “Review: Boxer – Interactive AI Robot Toy”
Teksta are well known for their robotic pets, which are instantly recognisable and make popular gifts. These new Micro-Pets make the little robots both insanely cuter than their bigger counterparts, and also more affordable, bringing the range firmly into pocket money affordability.… Continue Reading “Review: Teksta Micro-Pets”

We have been using NOW TV in our house now for over a year now, and it is a great complement to our YouView tv box. Until I joined their blog squad and got a voucher for a few months of service for the purpose of reviewing, NOW TV was the only money we were spending on tv – we don’t have a Sky or Virgin box.… Continue Reading “Review: NOW TV (2015 – 2nd gen box)”
This 300W 2.1 channel soundbar is a great addition to our living room entertainment set up. With a wireless subwoofer and just one optical input needed from the TV into the soundbar, it was super easy to set up, and simple to use. … Continue Reading “Review: Sony HT-CT380 Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer”
Pebli town has been a huge hit with our two girls, and they have played with it almost every day since we got it – and several times it has kept them amused for an hour or more. This is a clever gadget that brings together technology and imaginative play in a way that really appeals to the kids.… Continue Reading “Review: Pebli Town”
We were given a set of Tiggly Maths and a set of Tiggly Words to review, and to be honest I have quite mixed feelings about these ones. Lydia loves her Tiggly cushion, but the two sets have definitely had a lukewarm reception from both girls, although they do have their good points too.… Continue Reading “Review: Tiggly Words & Maths”
I wasn’t expecting to love this product quite as much as I do, but I think this nightlight is actually really great. I don’t give out a lot of 5 star ratings but the Gro-light definitely deserves one – it is going to be so perfect for us. This nightlight sits between your light fitting and light bulb, connecting to the fitting through either a standard bayonet or an E27 screw fitting (you have to buy the specific type of Gro-light for your fitting). You then fit your normal light bulb into the other side of the Gro-light. Really simple, and easy to fit.… Continue Reading “Review: Gro-light”
When this product arrived for review, as part of my role as a National Stationery Week blogger, I was a mixture of sceptical and excited. It sounded fab, a stapleless stapler – but could it be too good to be true?
I used to use a stapler every single day at my old admin job and have many not-so-fond memories of running out of staples, or having to pick them out in order to shred some files. The idea of a gadget that both never runs out & doesn’t cause problems with shredding sounded great to me – things only a lowly paper pusher can truly appreciate I think!… Continue Reading “Review: Kokuyo Harinacs Medium 6 Sheet Staple-less Stapler”
I was sent the Epson Pulsense PS–100 about a month ago to review, and I tested it out for a few weeks. I have to say, I am less than impressed, which was a little disappointing to me. I have to admit that until I was sent this piece of wearable tech, I had no idea that Epson had entered this rapidly growing market, and they are a brand that I associate with printers, not fitness tech.… Continue Reading “Review: Epson Pulsense PS-100”
Almost all of my mobile devices are charged via two types of USB cable; Apple’s propriety lightning connection or the industry standard Micro USB connection, and it seems to be the same for most mobile devices on the market.
This 1.2 metre long cable has a standard USB 2.0 connector on one end, to be plugged into a power plug or computer, and on the other end is a Micro USB connector. This can be changed to a lightning cable using the included adapter. Both ends of the cable also come with protective covers for keeping them safe when you have the cable stashed in a bag. … Continue Reading “Review: Inateck 2 in 1 Micro USB Cable with Apple Lightning Adapter 1,2m (EC2001L)”

We were sent the “Humax DTR-T1010 YouView Smart 500GB Freeview+ HD Digital TV Recorder” to try out and review. First impressions were good; the box is an attractive, sleek looking piece of kit, and the interface is easy to navigate and very intuitive.… Continue Reading “Review: YouView TV set-top box”
