Georgie’s best friend is a big Doc McStuffins fan, so when we got send this kit to review we knew that we immediately had to ask Sophie over for a play date to give it a thorough testing. This toy comes with a hard plastic carry case “just like Doc McStuffins’s!” into which you can fit the rest of the set. You get an eyepatch, a head band with detachable head torch, eye dropper, ophthalmoscope (the thing you look into someone’s eye with!), some stickers, and a glasses frame with three interchangeable fronts.

We were sent this Minnie Doll to review just before Christmas and Lydia claimed it as her own the minute she clapped eyes on it. Minnie comes with a variety of accessories; two skirts (one purple, one polka dot pink), a handbag, sparkly shoes & sparkly sunglasses.
Georgie was sent this bead box for her latest Play Patrol mission, and although we are shamefully late posting this review thanks to several illnesses in the family, we have had a lot of fun with this box in the meantime.
The box itself is a wooden tray with a sliding plastic lid, which Georgie can slide in and out herself. Inside the box is a plastic sorting tray full of wooden beads in a riot of colours, including 8 wooden butterflies. You get 5 coloured laces to make your creations with, and we have been making things, then taking them apart to make them differently instead.
We received this house to review just before Christmas and it has been a huge hit with both our girls, and Georgie’s best friend has enjoyed playing with it too.
First impressions were good; the parts of the house were easy to snap together, with easy to follow instructions and a handful of stickers to put on the house and furniture. There are furnishings for a living area, kitchen/diner, bathroom and bedroom, plus a few bits for Minnie’s cat too. The oven and fridge both have opening doors.
We were sent this Peppa Pig toy to review just before I got ill, and the girls have been absolutely loving it since it arrived. Lydia has claimed it as hers and often demands that it be her toy to take out with her when we go out.
When her belly is tickled, Peppa Pig giggles and says various phrases about loving tickles and so on. Lydia and Georgie both think this is absolutely hilarious and love to tickle her. Lydia is a massive soft toy fan so a Peppa Pig toy that she can cuddle and tickle is mega exciting for her.
Following on from our review of the Sofia the First Micro World playsets, we were offered the Royal Backpack playset to test out. When the box arrived, Georgie and I thought it looked great. The backpack looks attractive and the way the Royal Academy folds out it very clever, but there were just too many problems with this to make it something we want to play with often.
Georgie adores role play & imagination games and this breakfast tray is one we have been eyeing up for a while, so we were delighted to find it when we unpacked our latest Play Patrol delivery! With her toy kitchen in daily use James, Lydia & I get made an endless supply of cups of tea, lunches & dinners – and now she can make us breakfast too.
Lydia was excited as soon as she saw these fridge magnets. She loves animals and finds going to zoos etc fascinating so being able to create animal scenes on the fridge and so on is right up her street.
We are keeping the magnets in the kitchen, stashed away in their handy reusable box in the bottom of the kids stool. Lydia can get them out herself, carrying the box using the handle and sliding the lid open to get the magnets.
